Cross-sector diabetes training review |

DESCRIPTION |
This project complements the work of individual PCTs to develop their own workforce skills profiles, as required by the Diabetes NSF. It audits the skills of staff in a range of workplaces and commissions training for diabetes on a sector wide basis. |

PRIORITY |
The main project within this programme of work falls into 3 consecutive stages:
- Development of baseline information on the numbers and distribution of diabetes trained healthcare professionals (HCP) in North West London, and analysis of existing and new service delivery models;
- Skills audit using new diabetes competences with cross-sector sample of staff;
- Commissioning, delivery and evaluation of in-sector multi-professional training for diabetes.
*There is also a need to identify the primary care workforce development timetable in connection with BECaD project at Central Middlesex Hospital. |
